Uptown Westerville Farmers' Market: October 21st Market Report

What a beautiful Market Wednesday afternoon in Uptown Westerville. And, the Uptown Westerville Farmers' Market is open today 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at N. State and E. Home.

This is the next to last Market Wednesday for 2009. While the season of sweet corn, green beans, and tomatoes has passed, market vendors are featuring fresh from the earth vegetables like sweet potatoes, potatoes, turnips, onions, and carrots and from the vine like a variety of squash and pumpkins.

Artisan food vendors feature a variety of baked goods, jams, jellies, chutney, veggie burgers, meats, and cheeses.

And, stop by Nature's Honey to check out Krista Wagner's fabulous soaps made from common food ingredients and essential oils.

Jane Varley of Varley Valley shares:

It looks like it will be absolutely beautiful weather for the market this week. Sarah is planning to come to the market, sit in the sun, and clean crabapples in preparation for jelly making. I will have to do my crabapple cleaning at home.

It is hard to believe that another season is already over. Please remember that you can still order bread from me throughout the whole year. Since I live in Westerville, it is easy to pick it up at my house. I might even be able to deliver it to you.
