Uptown Westerville Farmers' Market: The 2009 Westerville Farmers' Market Calendar

Photographer, Gary Gardiner visited the Uptown Westerville Farmers' Market each week this summer and not just to buy market fare!

Gary took photographs -- he became fascinated with the hands of the farmers and food artisans and he kept saying he didn't know what exactly he was going to do with them, but he just couldn't stop taking pictures of hands!

Now we know -- the best of the market fare and the dramatic presence of hard work by tending and toiling hands is now a 2009 Calendar: Westerville Life's Farmers Market Hands.

Poet Alfred Austin once wrote, The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just on the body, but the soul.

Thank you, Gary. Thank you, market vendors. Thank you, Westerville.
