Perfect comfort food for cooler fall weather....

HOT PLUM BRIE en CROUTE

1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
1/3 to ½ cup Varley Valley Hot Plum Jam
1/3 to ½ cup slice almonds, toasted
1 8 oz wheel of brie cheese

▪ Preheat oven to 350 degrees
▪ Lightly grease a baking pan or lipped cookie sheet
▪ Roll pastry slightly to form a round large enough to completely cover brie
▪ Spread jam in a circle the size of your brie wheel in the center of the pastry
▪ Sprinkle the jam circle with the almonds
▪ Place the brie wheel on top of the jam
▪ Wrap brie in the pastry sheet. Trim excess pastry. Seal the seams with water and press together with your fingers. The brie should be fully enclosed in the pastry.
▪ Place the wheel, seam side down on the baking sheet. The jam side will now be at the top.
Note: If you have a Teflon baking sheet, use it – it will keep the bottom of the brie from sticking to the baking sheet.
▪ Cut decorations from the pastry trimmings. Stick to the top of the brie wheel with water.
▪ Bake 30 to 40 minutes until the pastry is brown
▪ Serve warm with crackers.
