Uptown Westerville Farmers' Market: July 31st Market Report

It's the final day of July and a farm fresh Wednesday in Uptown Westerville.

This afternoon's forecast brings us mostly sunny skies, slightly elevated humidity, a 7 mph breeze, and temperatures in the low-80s (add about 6° for the feels like). There is a slight chance of rain this week during market hours (51% in the first hour).

Today's vendor line-up includes: Made Without Grain, Sweet Thing Gourmet, Montezuma Brand Sauces and Salsas, Kingdom Fish, Kingdom Farms, Ohio Farm Direct, Java Central, Ohio City Pasta, Lona Belle's Home Baked Goods, Doran's Farm Market, Flying J Farm, and Bird's Haven Farms.

Hinton Apiaries is at the Ohio State Fair this week, so not at-market. We'll see Jerry next week.

This week, we welcome a guest community partner: from the Westerville Engineering Division, Traffic Engineer Jen Alford and Jared Groves. They'll have ears bent, the City of Westerville is working on a Mobility Plan - from footsteps to transit - and Jen and Jared are looking for feedback and thoughts from Westerville residents on getting around town.

Traffic report: The State Street 'Plane and Overlay' project is still going on between Lee Terrace and Walnut. And, the 'Uptown Improvements' project (and Columbia Gas project) works continue currently in front of Hanby School from Park to College.Traffic is maintained for both projects, so look for "lane redefinition" via orange cones, road surface grade changes, steel plates, construction activity (people and equipment on the move), and slower speeds. For the updated low-down on construction around town, check out GoWesterville. https://westerville.maps.arcgis.com/a…/Shortlist/index.html…

Home grown. Home made. All Ohio. The Uptown Westerville Farmers' Market opens for business each Wednesday, from May through October, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at North State and East Home Streets.

Browse. Visit. Taste. Shop. Enjoy.

Thank you for your business.

See you at the market.
