With Memorial Day Weekend approaching, Westerville's Sunshine Rotary will again host the Field of Heroes.
This beautiful, poignant installation of 2,500 American flags to honor those who have sacrificed and served will be on display from May 25th @ 1 p.m. through May 28th @ 12:30 p.m at the corner of N. Cleveland and W. County Line.
Field of Heroes Schedule:
Friday, May 25th
1:00 p.m. - Field Opens to the Public
Saturday, May 26th
9:30 a.m. - Opening Ceremony
6:30 p.m. - Free Concert
Sunday, May 27th
10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Free bus tours of Westerville memorials
7:30 p.m. - Flag Retirement Ceremony
Monday, May 28th
12:30 p.m. - Closing Ceremony

All Weekend:
Honor Flight tribute to World War II Veterans
Reading of hero names at noon
Field illuminated at 8:00 PM

The City of Westerville Memorial Day Parade is Monday, May 28th @ 9:45 a.m. starting at College & State in Uptown Westerville and heading south on State and west on Bishop to Otterbein Cemetery. (A lot of parade spectators follow the parade to the cemetery on-foot.)
