Uptown Westerville Farmers' Market: September 16th Market Report

It's Market Wednesday in Uptown Westerville! The
Uptown Westerville Farmers' Market is open for business from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at N. State & E. Home through October 28th.

The produce selection is colorful, flavorful, and plentiful! And, we are starting to see autumn squash like butternut and acorn and... pumpkins.

Jane Varley of Valley Valley shares this week's report:

September is a great time to visit the market. The summer produce is still available and the fall produce is just starting to come in. In addition, we typically have wonderful weather this time of the year.

Sarah has been busy picking wild grapes and turning them into wild grape jelly. If you have never had any, please stop by for a sample. It really doesn’t taste like the typical Concord grape jelly. The fruit is very sour so it makes a wonderful sweet and tart jelly. Sarah is planning to spend some time at the market tomorrow cleaning the latest batch of grapes. If you haven’t met Sarah (my bread apprentice and jam business partner), please stop by and say hello.
