Well, it's the last farm fresh Wednesday in Uptown Westerville for 2018.

And it looks like it may be a rubber ducks, gollashes, and umbrella day, with temperatures around 60°.

We celebrate Halloween with Market Wednesday's Treat or Treat day! It's the one day of the year that princesses, super heroes, storm troopers, and dinosaurs walk amongst the ordinary citizens at the farmers' market. Kids can come to market dressed for Halloween (Westerville's Beggar's Night is also October 31st from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.) and go "door-to-door" to visit each vendor for Halloween candy! And, we're telling you right now, it's chocolate! (While supplies last. Costumes optional. Treat or Treat is for chronological kids... if you happen to be a kid-at-heart, there might be a treat in it for you as well!)

Uptown Westerville Farmers' Market: October 31st Weather Outlook

When the seasons shift, even the subtle beginning, the scent of a promised change, I feel something stir inside me. Hopefulness? Gratitude? Openness? Whatever it is, it's welcome. [Kristin Armstrong]

We may be looking at a rainy autumn day ahead... still a farm fresh day in Uptown Westerville.

The last time we closed a season on a rainy day was when the rains of Hurricane Sandy moved in; this year, at least, it will be warmer than it was back then. This week's Market Wednesday forecast calls for temperatures in the mid-60s, a 9 mph breeze occasional gusts), cloudy skies and a 64% chance of rain. We'll have the rubber ducks at the ready, but you never know with local weather.... it's Ohio!

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture - both Branstool Orchards and Bird's Haven Farms have CSA pick ups at Market Wednesday. With a CSA, customers subscribe early in the year by pre-paying for shares of the season's harvest.

Today's vendor line-up includes: Ohio City Pasta, Lona Belle's Home Baked Goods, Doran's Family Farm, Hinton Apiaries, Flying J Farm, Bird's Haven Farms, Made Without Grain, Pleiades Maple, Sweet Thing Gourmet, Montezuma Sauces and Salsas, The Crazy Cucumber, Kingdom Fish, Ohio Farm Direct, jC's Sweet Ice Tea, Brown Brothers Farms, J-Pops.

We welcome Kingdom Fish and Hinton Apiaries back to the vendor line-up.

We expect to see Branstool Orchards for the first time this season. For Branstool Orchards CSA participants, this will be Branstool Orchards' first Westerville pick-up.

We may also see Mike Dippold of Malabar Peach and Apple Orchard to the Market Wednesday season. Just a reminder - Malabar Peach and Apple is the only Market Wednesday vendor that does not take debit/credit cards - he's takin' cash or check only.

We will not see Hummavore this week.
