Uptown Westerville Farmers' Market: Cops and Kids 2012

The Uptown Westerville Farmers' Market is a sponsor of Westerville Police Division's Cops and Kids Day, an annual event that takes place in Hoff Park north of Uptown Westerville off McCorkle (this year on September 9th). Market Wednesday has supported Cops and Kids since 2009.

This is a really cool event (runs from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and it's free) that reaches kids and grown-ups (big fun) - the event features a gathering of about 40 law enforcement and safety forces from all over Ohio. Kids can interact with police, mounted police, bike units, K9 units, and rescue personnel and up-close and personally check out cruisers, DARE cars, and helicopters. The event includes free refreshments, giveaways, activities, demos, and the popular dunk-a-cop tank.
