Uptown Westerville Farmers' Market: Sept. 30th Market Report

It's Market Wednesday in Uptown Westerville! The Uptown Westerville Farmers' Market opens for business each Wednesday from 3 p.m to 6 p.m. at N. State and E. Home.

While you're at the market, stop by and visit Eddie Lou Meimer at Pleiades Maple Products and check out Pleiades Ohio State Logo maple syprup. Perfect for tailgating brunches! Now you just need a stack of Buckwheat pancakes!!

This week Krista Wagner of Nature's Honey tells us: "Sorry I wasn't around last week, folks, but I promise to make up for it this week! TWO new soaps this week! Cedarwood Sage Bath Bar, made with cedarwood, sage, and petitgrain essential oils and lovely ground lemon basil (that I dried myself!). I will also have a new soap in my goat milk and lavender line: Lavender & Vanilla Body Bar. Made with lavender and vanilla essential oils and ground chamomile flowers, this bar is great for the fall season (vanilla is very warming). See you at the market!"

Dale Benedict of Honey Health Farms tells us they'll have... "Comb Honey and autographed copies of Miss Moxie The Amazing Honeybee Story that I recently wrote and published. This story makes a wonderful gift for any person interested in one of nature's most creative and nectar producing insects. Plus our highly sought after wildflower honey, cinnamon honey, honeybee pollen blend, bee pollen, four homemade soaps, moisture cream and lip/body balm."

Bridgman Farm
and Amherst Greenhouse have now ended their 2009 Market Season.

We recommend an afternoon in Uptown Westerville! Come uptown for lunch, browse, visit and
Shop Uptown Westerville, and take dinner ingredients home from the market!

Meza,
48 N. State, features Market Wednesday $1 wine tastings and a selection of delicious pantry foods and quality ingredients to bring out the best in your market fresh meals.

With highs in the low 60s and partly sunny skies, it's a great day for fall market shopping.

See you at the market!
